Onward

Having never seen Taang fan art of this variety: niche, meet filler. Also, Aang's arrow is very faint here, because blue tattoos on skin tend to fade over time. But it's there, I promise.

As for the lotus flowers on Toph's outfit...well, it's her namesake, after all. Her name roughly translates to (at least from the 'Tales of Ba Sing Se' opening) "Supported Lotus."

The lotus is also a symbol of Lakshmi, consort/wife to the supreme Hindu god Vishnu: the god whose various incarnations make up the line of Avatars from which the show gets the inspiration.

...Yup, I read waaaaaay too into things. Shipping does that to me.

(I've realized I tend to only ship couples I can imagine growing old together: these two, they're probably still racing down the package chutes at Omashu.)
