SPOILERS FOR FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST 108 BELOW. PROCEED WITH CAUTION

....You know, I was pretty happy with what we were given in terms of this pair.

Any actual 'canonization' of the pairing (oh, come on, we know they love each other) would have seemed....overstated, somehow; these two function almost solely in subtle gestures, underlying devotion, meaningful glances and the like, and just knowing that they're still together is more than enough.

So, I tried for something SOMEWHAT subtle here. No full-frontal snogs, at least, but enough to get the point across. As usual, any comments/suggestions/ideas/critiques are more than welcome.

Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye belong to Ms. Arakawa.

(Riza's new haircut is hard to draw.)

This is lovely. I think Royai is one of the best pairings ever created mostly because of how subtle and strong their love is at the same time.

I really really love this. It's so subtle, and in character, yet so, SO gentle, and so intimate and lovely. I like the way you draw them both as well, as not everyone transitions between the manga art and more realistic human art well. I also love that it's raining. That just says so much about these two. It's raining. And Roy is still smiling. And they're simply.. together. And that's all they need. You're right, I've seen way too many people draw these two snogging or becoming even more physical, and I don't think that's really... it's not really what they're about. I like this better. They don't need all that to be awesome. They just need to be around each other. Thank you for drawing this, it was fantastically done! I love the real glow that the soft light and the rain give. I adore their facial expressions too.

I agree with ~Jeminia. This drawing is lovely. It definitely captures the subtleties and complexities in Roy and Riza's relationship. This piece is also very tender and sweet and I love that you've drawn them in a realistic style. That's a refreshing, nice change and they look fantastic in said style.

Overstated or not, I'm starting to agree with rawles on the lack of mwahmwahmwah with these two...XD

Couples in the rain are always gorgeous; though the fact that he's quite clearly powerless right now is something that I'm going to have to ponder the meaning of. He's all wet.
